Meet the Team
Claire McBride graduated from The Robert Gordon University Aberdeen with BSc (Hons) in Physiotherapy and gained initial clinical experience through the NHS in Belfast. She then worked for the next 5 years in a Belfast based Private Physiotherapy Practice where she gained experience in musculoskeletal, orthopaedic and sports rehabilitation as a Senior Physiotherapist.
Claire joined Pure Physio Clinic in early 2014 and immediately felt back home as this is where she worked as a fitness instructor in La Mon Country Club many years ago. She specialises in a hands-on manual approach to treatment that provides great results for her clients.
Claire has undertaken extensive post graduate training specialising in the management of Spinal Dysfunction (including nerve pain and headaches), Musculoskeletal and Sports injuries, Pilates and Women’s Health (ante natal and post-natal management), and Women’s Health Incontinence.
Claire has undergone further development in a wide variety of musculoskeletal courses including: Pilates (Matwork, 1,2 &3, Pilates for runners), Acupuncture, McKenzie A&B, Mulligans 1, McConnell Institute (knee), Jeremy Lewis (Shoulder), The Sporting Hip and Groin, Headaches (Toby Hall), Sports Massage (including myofascial techniques), Biomechanics, Kinesiotaping and Pregnancy related courses (including pelvic girdle pain and incontinence), and lets not forget her beloved foam roller, in which she presents talks and demonstrations for local running and cycling clubs.
Claire enjoys running and is a member of a local running club, in the latter half of the year she increases her strength and conditioning training to help prepare her for her skiing holiday which she looks forward to every year!
Claire is a Chartered Physiotherapist, and is a member of the CSP, and HCPC. She is also registered with all UK based private medical insurance companies.
